Pala Band of Mission Indian Cupa Cultural Center

Pala, CA – The Pala Band of Mission Indians announces that The Man Who Shot The Devil film has been made available.

The Man Who Shot the Devil

The Man Who Shot the Devil” is a short movie that was filmed in Pala in the 1950s. It tells the story of Corpus Christi, and the tradition of the priest and the community banishing the devil from the village.

Many Pala tribal and community members were used as extras in the film. In honor of this year’s Corpus Christi celebration on June 14, 2020, we have made the film available for viewing on the Pala Band of Mission Indians’ YouTube channel.
